Just over a week to go before we set of on a 21 day cycle through Spain, France and into UK in support of the UK charity Parental Alienation Awareness .. 2700km in 21 days!!
A problem in trying to raise awareness of Parental Child Abduction/Parental Alienation is that the longer it goes on, the more people seem to accept that this is the way it is.. Even thinking that the parent should "just move on". After all, the child is with the other parent.
Some people dont understand that the parent is suffering the loss of a child that is still alive.. No grieving process can take place but always living in hope that they may be reunited... one day!!
They feel disillusioned and let down by the very authorities they tried to put their trust in to protect them and their child...
The child is often brainwashed over time to reject the targeted parent and family... Even to fear them with false allegations used as the weapon of choice.
It is emotional/psychological abuse of the targeted family and the child... but these psychological bruises are not clearly visible so they are presumed to be not there by some..
Please help this charity to raise awareness of these issues and support parents who are faced with situations like this by sponsoring my Tandem Across Borders - Spain to UK cycle.
