Our Journey

In 2015, we completed a journey between Orihuela court and London Royal Court of Justice on foot. 44 marathons in 44 days with the hope of raising awareness of parental child abduction and parental alienation and also, on a very personal level, to show my daughter that I would travel the world for
her.

http://walkacrossborders.blogspot.com/

On that occasion, we raised funds for the Reunite
International Child Abduction Centre Charity

This time, with our cycle, as well as having another attempt at raising awareness of these issues, we hope to help to raise funds for another charity which is close to our heart and in memory of an inspirational young lady Alice Pyne (Alices Escapes (1146011))

I am aiming to raise £5000 to fund the upkeep of one of their caravans.

The charity offers complimentary holidays for families with seriously-ill-children, along with breaks for those who have lost their child. Please read more about this amazing charity on the link.

The second charity is Parental Alienation Awareness (1187738) who aim to raise awareness, educate, & campaign against this form of child abuse that needlessly disconnects children, parents, & their extended families.

This, many of you know, I can directly relate to...

We are hoping to raise £2000 to help with publishing and distribution costs in the production of parental alienation awareness brochures.

I understand the covid situation has caused financial hardship for many.. Charities like this are also finding these times extremely testing.

If you cant help financially, thats ok. But could I ask that you share my JustGiving page links so others can help to support one or both of these worthy charities?

Thanks all xx

Parental Alienation During Isolation - Coronavirus

Sad to hear about so many people being affected by this horrible virus. Life can be so fragile.. 😕

Thoughts also with the many alienated parents including those affected by parental child abduction who are trying to find out ANY info about their children and their welfare. More difficult now they are not in school.

It adds an additional worry in these difficult times. If parents / grandparents REALLY cared about their children, you would think this would be a wake up call.

Stop the alienation... Stop playing God with your childrens lives..

Communicate for the sake of your children.. They have two parents! Being a parent means putting THEM first.. One more day closer.

Coronavirus - shared parenting

As many already know, I fully support the idea of shared 50/50 parenting and do as much as I can to raise awareness of the possible impacts of parental alienation and parental child abduction..

However....

Right now people are in isolation in order to fight this coronavirus. The thought of "will this affect my contact visits?" should not really be approached..

Try to communicate with your ex to arrange skype/facetime/whatapp/zoom if your child is not currently in your care... you know it makes sense!!! KIDS FIRST!!!

I know that communicating with an alienating "parent" and trying to encourage them to be reasonable (to put your child first) might be almost impossible... but you need to try!

To my daughter Aleyah... ALWAYS loving you... Always thinking of you... Forever your Dad... One day closer...
Stay safe...!!!!

Father's Day Wishes

Fathers Day here in Spain, Italy and a number of other courtries...

Happy Father's day to all good dads out there.. Or at least, as happy as it can be with the difficult situation the world is in at the moment..

It really is so difficult and the emotions heighten even more on key dates.. Even more so with what is going on at the moment..

I'm sure many alienated parents, like me, worry about mortality from time to time.. What if something happened to me?

Who would care enough to make sure my daughter is ok and also to make sure she knows how much I have tried for so long to be in her life?

Who would care enough to let her know who I really am.. Not the person her mother has portrayed me to be in order to tactically remove her from home in Spain and erase me and my family from her life?

What if anything happened to our daughter? Would I even be told? I have to play a detective role to find out anything about her.. It is so damn cruel.. Enough is enough.. Imagine how this behaviour might impact our child not only in childhood but also into adulthood!

----------------

Please don't forget that parents who cannot see their children due to abduction and /or alienation ARE still daddies or mummies on these days.

The difference being that it cannot be acknowledged by the children that they love with all of their hearts...

Thoughts with all affected parents, grandparents, families AND of course, their children.... One day closer x

Several ways that YOU can help

Hi all.. I really need your help here.

In Aug/Sept, I am cycling from Cabo Roig, Spain to UK and in doing so, trying to raise some funds for the Alice's Escapes charity.

https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/tandemacrossborders1

I also wish to achieve another objective. To raise awareness of the impact of Parental Child Abduction, parental alienation and how parents, families AND children can be so badly let down in the family courts in various juristictions.

I have created Facebook Events pages for each stage so you can follow my route (see below)

You can help in several ways. Some without even leaving your chair! ANY help would be extremely appreciated:

1) By simply sharing some of my posts prior to and during the cycle. This will help me reach my fundraising target for Alice's Escapes and help me to raise awareness of Parental Alienation / Parental Child Abduction.

2) Helping me contact people en route as I would really hope to have people there not only for cycling but also as as emergency contact should we get into any difficulties. I would like to replace the (?) with names below of people who live close to the end point each day.

3) Help me find company sponsors for each day of the journey who I can promote on my blog/vlog.

http://tandemacrossborders.blogspot.com/2020/02/company-sponsors.html

4) If local to the area I am passing through, why not cycle with me as my named Stokers from part of a stage (or more of course).

Or cycle alongside on your own bike.

I DONT expect people to travel out of their locality to cycle but you CAN help by trying to make contact with people from those areas that might cycle with me.

5) PA / PCA focus groups, PLEASE help me raise awareness of these issues by posting relevant information onto my Tandem Across BORDERS page
