Our Journey

In 2015, we completed a journey between Orihuela court and London Royal Court of Justice on foot. 44 marathons in 44 days with the hope of raising awareness of parental child abduction and parental alienation and also, on a very personal level, to show my daughter that I would travel the world for
her.

On that occasion, we raised funds for the Reunite
International Child Abduction Centre Charity

This time, with our cycle, as well as having another attempt at raising awareness of these issues, we hope to help to raise funds for another charity Parental Alienation Awareness (1187738) who aim to raise awareness, educate, & campaign against this form of child abuse that needlessly disconnects children, parents, & their extended families.

This, many of you know, I can directly relate to...

We are hoping to raise £2000 to help with publishing and distribution costs in the production of parental alienation awareness brochures.

I understand the covid situation has caused financial hardship for many.. Charities like this are also finding these times extremely testing.

If you cant help financially, thats ok. But could I ask that you share my JustGiving page link so others can help to support this worthy charity?

Thanks all xx

Day 8 - Sete

No further news to report on health tests. I'm just taking things a little bit easy for a few days.

I am still really gutted and frustrated as a lot of thought and planning went into this cycle.

Today, I was due to ride up the coast from Le Barcares to Sete on the first day in France and the first day I would have been cycling alone.

This now cannot happen in the way I was hoping to cycle ir. To be honest, it has stuuned me with the cardio issues. I have never had any problems in that regard.

I believe not serious but nevertheless, it could have left me stranded, ill and without support had the problems occured today so, despite wanting to go on, I see that it was the right thing to do to ensure I am checked out.

I guess I should have taken note of my body after having kidney infection and Covid only a few week ago.

I have read about possible links between Covid and heart irregularities so maybe I just didnt give enough time to get fully well?

My Holter monitor is not available until 23rd and have to wait for that result before deciding whats next..

I will update plans as soon as I can
