Our Journey

In 2015, we completed a journey between Orihuela court and London Royal Court of Justice on foot. 44 marathons in 44 days with the hope of raising awareness of parental child abduction and parental alienation and also, on a very personal level, to show my daughter that I would travel the world for
her.

On that occasion, we raised funds for the Reunite
International Child Abduction Centre Charity

This time, with our cycle, as well as having another attempt at raising awareness of these issues, we hope to help to raise funds for another charity Parental Alienation Awareness (1187738) who aim to raise awareness, educate, & campaign against this form of child abuse that needlessly disconnects children, parents, & their extended families.

This, many of you know, I can directly relate to...

We are hoping to raise £2000 to help with publishing and distribution costs in the production of parental alienation awareness brochures.

I understand the covid situation has caused financial hardship for many.. Charities like this are also finding these times extremely testing.

If you cant help financially, thats ok. But could I ask that you share my JustGiving page link so others can help to support this worthy charity?

Thanks all xx

Why Tandem Across Borders?

In 2015, I completed a journey between Orihuela court and London Royal Court of Justice on foot.
44 marathons in 44 days with the hope of raising awareness of parental child abduction and parental alienation and also, on a very personal level, to show my daughter that I would travel the world for her.

On that occasion, we raised funds for the Reunite International Child Abduction Centre Charity

We have also arranged several other events and activities for this same charity

- Football tournaments
- Tandem Skydive
- Music concerts
- A shop
- Participation in the Reunite annual walk in London
- Fund raising evenings and raffles

Sadly, over a decade later and my daughter has still not had any contact with her paternal family and tragically, she has lost a loving grandmother permanently as she passed away in 2015 before they could be reunited.

This is not an isolated case !!!!

There are many children who are denied contact with one of their parents and their family through the severe alienating tactics and manipulation of the court processes using tactics such as parental child abduction, parental alienation and false allegations in the family courts.

With our cycle we are hoping to have another attempt at raising awareness of these issues, which is why we have chosen a relatively new charity, Parental Alienation Awareness as our main supported charity.

Sadly, due to the continued Covid restrictions, we had to postpone this journey in 2021 but I rescheduled it to start on August 20th 2022 and hope to complete the journey on 9th September 2022.

The aims of the Parental Alienation Awareness Charity are to raise awareness, educate, & campaign against this form of child abuse that needlessly disconnects children, parents, & their extended families.

Details of the charity can be found on this link

Parental Alienation Awareness Registered charity number 1187738

Through this cycle, we would like to try to raise enough funding to help to produce and distribute awareness information in relation to the effects of parental alienation on children and families.

Our initial target for this is £2,000
