Our Journey

In 2015, we completed a journey between Orihuela court and London Royal Court of Justice on foot. 44 marathons in 44 days with the hope of raising awareness of parental child abduction and parental alienation and also, on a very personal level, to show my daughter that I would travel the world for
her.

On that occasion, we raised funds for the Reunite
International Child Abduction Centre Charity

This time, with our cycle, as well as having another attempt at raising awareness of these issues, we hope to help to raise funds for another charity Parental Alienation Awareness (1187738) who aim to raise awareness, educate, & campaign against this form of child abuse that needlessly disconnects children, parents, & their extended families.

This, many of you know, I can directly relate to...

We are hoping to raise £2000 to help with publishing and distribution costs in the production of parental alienation awareness brochures.

Tandem Across Borders is supporting 2 UK charities

In Aug/Sept 2022, I am cycling on tandem bike from Orihuela Costa, Spain to UK (rearranged after postponement last year due to Covid restrictions) and in doing so, trying to raise some funds for the Alice's Escapes Charity (1146011) and also the Parental Alienation Awareness Charity (1187738).

On route, various volunteers will be cycling with me as my stokers / co-riders

  • Day 2 – 21st Aug 2022 - Alcoi to Valencia (Approx 121km)
  • Day 3 – 22nd Aug 2022 - Valencia to Torreblanca - (Approx 111km)
  • Day 4 – 23rd Aug 2022 - Torreblanca to Miami Platja (Approx 126km)
  • Day 5 – 24th Aug 2022 - Miami Platja to Barcelona (Approx 132km)
  • Day 6 – 25th Aug 2022 - Barcelona to Palafrugell (Approx 129km)
  • Day 7 – 26th Aug 2022 - Palafrugell to Le Barcares (France) (Approx 124km)
  • Day 8 – 27th Aug 2022 - Le Barcares to Sete - (Approx 128km)
  • Day 9 – 28th Aug 2022 - Sete to Avignon (Approx 124km)
  • Day 10 – 29th Aug 2022 - Avignon to Valence (Approx 130km)
  • Day 11 – 30th Aug 2022 - Valence to Lyon (Approx 111km)
  • Day 12 – 31st Aug 2022 - Lyon to Le Creusot (Approx 147km)
  • Day 13 – 1st Sept 2022 - Le Creusot to Montbard (Approx 113km)
  • Day 14 – 2nd Sept 2022 - Montbard to Lesmont (Approx 108km)
  • Day 15 – 3rd Sept 2022 - Lesmont to Soisons (Approx 157 km)
  • Day 16 – 4th Sept 2022 - Soisons to Arras (Approx 121 km)
  • Day 17 – 5th Sept 2022 - Arras to Calais (Approx 114 km)
  • Day 18 – 6th Sept 2022 – Dover, UK to Basildon (Approx 121 km)
  • Day 19 – 7th Sept 2022 - Basildon to Stowmarket (Approx 105 km)
  • Day 20 – 8th Sept 2022 - Stowmarket to Harlow (via Red Lodge) (Approx 127 km)
  • Day 21 – 9th Sept 2022 - Harlow to Peacehaven (VIA RCJ) (Approx 146 km)


We will have cycled an estimated 2768km in 21 days!!

The charity offers complimentary holidays for families with seriously-ill-children, along with breaks for those who have lost their child. 


Through this cycle, we would like to try to raise enough funding to maintain one of the caravans for a year
